Texarkana RV Music Park is now owned by Jack & Loretta Johnson. The park was originally know as the Strange Family Bluegrass Park. While the park no longer has festivals it does host 3 week long jams each year. The jams are hosted by Ray Wingfield & John Dobbs. There are pickers from Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, & Oklahoma & occasionally even from Tennessee.

While the jams are scheduled for one week, we have many who arrive a few days early & the jams start as soon as there are 2 people with instruments. The jams are acoustic only with the exception of electric bass. The main venue is Bluegrass mixed with some Old Country & Bluegrass Gospel. For jamming there is a metal building, a screened in area, usually a tent, and of course lots of awnings at pickers RV's.

    The current camp rates are:
    $14 for water & 30 amp electric
    $16 full hookup 30 amp
$2 per night extra for 50 amp.
Stay 6 nights and get the 7th night free. There are NO reservations but we ask that you let us know your coming so we can try & accommodate your RV size. The park phone is 903-255-0011
but it's better to contact John & Doylene Dobbs (event park managers) at
